  Lady at desk, when she saw I had my own part, she went into a long explaination of disgust with me. Should have packed out of there then but left mower for repair. They charged 2 1/2 times usual amt for the area. Live and Learn= my Bad

  When I purchased my $700 Still chainsaw, these folks were as friendly and as helpful as could be. However, I had a major issue with this saw after less than 3 hours of runtime while my saw was still under warranty. From the moment I walked in with my broken saw their attitude had changed 180°. They proceeded to diagnose my saw without so much as taking off the sprocket cover. The result, user error by running the saw with the chain brake engaged. I know this would have been practically impossible. So I started asking questions. They then kept hammering the issue and say " the only way this could have happened is by running the saw with the chain brake on" at least 4 times they said this. None of my questions were answered and the subject of my saw still being under warranty was abjectly avoided. After a brief phone conversation with Stihl USA was informed Gentry's power equipment's statement that "this damage could only have been caused by running the saw with the chain brake on" was misleading at best. I'm no chainsaw expert but I'm no idiot either. Update: sure enough I was correct.

  This is a family owned business. They are honest and customer service is fantastic! Customers are always treated with kindness. They have excellent technical expertise and great prices. Over time I've purchased a mower, chainsaw, weed eater, mower blades, and leaf blower from there and am very pleased. Service Department is fast and thorough. Give Gentry's a try and you very likely will be a return customer like me.
